PERFORMANCE SPORT AT UNIVERSITY OF SURREY
Team Surrey’s Performance Sport Programme is designed to maximise the potential of both individual and team performance of our talented and hard-working student-athletes.
We offer multiple support packages for high level athletes at the University of Surrey. From the Dual Career Programme, which ensures an exceptional level of support through a multi-disciplinary practitioner team, to Sport Scholarship Awards, offering financial bursaries of up to £6000. Our High-Performance Squads also benefit from our partnerships with professional sports clubs and national governing bodies: Harlequin F.C., Surrey Storm, Surrey Scorchers and Swim England.
COACHING
All of our High Performance Squads host full-time staff dedicated to the performance and wellbeing of our student athletes.
NUTRITION
We offer everything from meal planning to education through our nutritionists who ensure that our athletes’ needs are met.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Student-athlete wellbeing is at the heart of the programme and our dedicated personal development practitioners help to encourage and facilitate students’ personal and professional development alongside their sporting careers.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Our on-site clinic The Treatment Room is host to expert Physiotherapists for sports massage and rehabilitation services.
PSYCHOLOGY
Members of the Performance Sport Programme have access to sport psychology education to help them achieve optimal psychological preparedness for training and competition.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
Our dedicated strength and conditioning team work with athletes to focus on injury prevention and performance enhancement.
