Calling all women at the University of Surrey, it’s time for us to celebrate you all as part of This Girl Can.

This Girl Can is a national campaign run by Sport England, designed to celebrate everything about women involved in sport and activity across the country.

The University have supported the campaign for several years now, and we are proud to do so for yet another year.

As part of the campaign, we will be running a host of different activities at the University, all of which we want as many female students and staff as possible to partake in.

So, what’s on we hear you ask?

This Girl Can Takeover – Saturday 17th November

Join us at Surrey Sports Park for a night of FREE sports, activities, smoothies and more!

We will be shutting down the Sports Park and making is a hub for female sport and activity for the night.

Several Team Surrey clubs will be running sport sessions, as well as some fantastic health and fitness classes from Surrey Sports Park staff.

We’ll also be treating your taste buds with some free smoothies and healthy snacks, all of which you can make at home at a low cost.

With no photography, filming, social media or men allowed on the night, we’re creating a totally safe environment for you to work out and have fun.

This Girl Can week – Sunday 18th– Thursday 22nd November

If you can’t make the Takeover, or just want more to get involved with, don’t panic.

There will be plenty of other opportunities for you to take part in across the week, from sports and activities to talks and workshops.

All sessions will be delivered by Team Surrey clubs or student societies, meaning you will be surrounded by fellow students.

Almost all activities are completely free and do not require sign-up, meaning you can just turn up, meet new people, and most importantly have fun.
