Surrey swim team qualify for BUSL national final as they aim to retain title!

Surrey swimmers will return to the British University Swimming League National A final in Leicester as they aim to retain their status as reigning champions after winning the competition last year.

The Surrey team – which was led by swimmers from the Competitive Squad – won duel matches against Portsmouth and Bournemouth and came out on top in the conference round against all three conference teams, also including Southampton.

Finishing second in Conference 14, Surrey Swim Team have qualified for the national final on the same number of conference points as rivals Southampton, but as a wildcard seed.

To qualify for the National A final is a huge achievement for the swimming club and truly highlights the development and growth of its programme. Everyone at Team Surrey wishes the best of luck to all swimmers competing in Leicester – bring it home!
