In order to protect the long term health of our business and our staff, Surrey Sports Park will be placing a number of employees in the Government supported Furlough Scheme. A number of roles within Team Surrey have been included in this programme with effect on 8 April 2020. Based on current government and health advice, it is anticipated that we will be away from the business operations for 2 – 3 months. This timing will be reviewed in line with government updates and guidelines.
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme will mean that 80 percent of the salaries of furloughed staff, up to £2,500 per month per individual, will be paid by the government. Surrey Sports Park will then top up the money received from the scheme to ensure that all furloughed staff receive their usual salary in full.
We hope that you are all staying safe and keeping well during these unprecedented times, and we hope to see you very soon.
