BUCS success for Surrey’s Smallbore Rifle Team!

BUCS success for Surrey’s Smallbore Rifle Team!

Team Surrey Smallbore Rifle Team enjoyed a successful weekend at the BUCS Long Range finals at Appleton Rifle Range at the end of April.

Here’s the report from the Rifle Club…

“The competition consisted of shooting against the top UK University rifle teams at distances of 50 meters and 100 yards. Our ladies triad earned third place, while our mixed quartet also placed third only two points behind second place.

Our smallbore captain, Claire Gregory, finished in the Top 10 of the Ladies Individual competition, while also being a member of both the ladies triad team and the mixed quartet team. Alongside this, she was also selected to compete for England in the England vs Scotland match at the end of the weekend!

Sam Messenger, alongside being a member of the mixed quartet, finished Top 10 in the Mens Individual competition – with some very impressive 100 yard scores!

Well done to everyone for the hard work and dedication throughout the year to achieve these impressive results. And a special shoutout to the Appleton Range for hosting us and welcoming us with lots of cute ducklings!”
