MONTHLY STATISTICS
It might be the summer break but SurreyMoves+ users continued to rack up the points ahead of the return to campus in September! July produced some stable numbers across walking, running, cycling and swimming – plus, we saw 35 new users sign up to the app.
WE'VE HIT 3,000 USERS!
We are delighted to say that we have surpassed 3,000 SurreyMoves+ users since the last newsletter! Our current total stands at 3,032 users. This is an amazing milestone to surpass and our thanks must go to all University of Surrey students and staff who have joined our online community since we re-launched last September.

Everyone in the SurreyMoves+ team is now excited to keep driving up this number when new and returning students arrive back in Surrey next month.

MOVES+ TRAIL OF THE MONTH

In this new feature, we’ll be sharing a new exercise trails in the local area every newsletter. To kick us off, we’re starting with a route just outside Guildford…

THE SHALFORD THREE PEAKS CIRCULAR

Step just outside of Guildford to explore the local section of the Surrey Hills AONB. On this moderate trail at 13.0km, take in all the views, wildflowers, and local livestock. Start at Shalford Mill before going clockwise around the route to avoid any muddy climbs. Head up and enjoy the views of St. Martha’s Hill before going across to Newlands Corner for a coffee or food at the café. Then head down to Pilgrim’s Way before heading west and back across St. Martha’s Hill. Next, go south for the Chilworth Gunpowder Works and Gunpowder Mills Fishery. Finally, loop back round to the start point and complete your circular route at Shalford Mill.

The Olympics drew to a close on Sunday after 16 days of exciting competition out in Tokyo, and Team GB enjoyed a successful Games by finishing fourth in the medal table with 65 medals in total.
